Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving Day! All around the United States today families are getting together to give thanks for all their many blessings. I have my family over today, and I've cooked a 30 pound turkey and all the trimmings for our feast. I'm personally thankful for so many things ... my wife Carol, my daughters Melaina and Kadee, my son-in-law Randy, my granddaughter Cahlia, the twins who will be born before we know it, my family, my health, all the great people I deal with each and every day and so much more. While I'm enjoying my Thanksgiving turkey I didn't forget about you! I prepared these Picks, in advance, just for you. So, if you're all set, sit back, relax and lets take a look.

AudioConvert, by RMBSOFT, is a slick utility for audiophiles to work with audio files. You can use it for ripping, which is the term used for the process of taking tracks from a CD and putting them in a file format. The program is also great for converting audio files from one format into another. I feel the program has an intuitive user interface and it's easy-to-use, and that makes it perfect for both new and experienced users. The program supports the online CDDB database which you can use to look up all the information about songs. And in all my testing it did a really great job with everything. Cool.

AudioConvert has an impressive range of features and functions. It supports a wide range of file formats including MP3, WAV, RAW, VOX, WMA and more. You can use the program to record, add special effects and lots more. And it can play all those formats as well,l including audio CDs, MP2, MP3 and more. It can also record from line in, a microphone, CD audio and other sources. This makes the program extremely flexible in dealing with your audio needs. If you're into filters, AudioConvert comes with a number of them including vibrato, fade, silence, invert, delay, phaser, flanger, reverb and normalize, to name a few. You can also adjust details like bitrate, frequency and the number of channels.

AudioConvert is a full-featured tool for working with all types of audio files. It does a great job, it's quick and easy. The program has support for a wide range of audio formats, offers an array of filters and effects, and gives you lots of options. So, if you're into audio you owe it to yourself to take a look. This might be just what you've been looking for.

Alleycode HTML Editor, by Konae Technologies, Inc. is a neat HTML editor that you can use to create Web pages. Another slick feature is that it's free. It has all the basic things you'd expect in a good HTML editor. Ahh, but it also has a bunch of extra features that I think you'll find really useful. The program is easy-to-use and I think it's perfect for both new and experienced users. It even comes with a cool tutorial that will help get you started if you're new to HTML. And, it not only does HTML, but mixes in some CSS and PHP to round out the entire Web page experience.

Alleycode HTML Editor has a CSS wizard that helps you work with style sheets. Another feature I really like is what they call Synchro View. What does it do? It lets you see things in real-time which makes it nice when you're designing a Web page. You can see changes as you make them and to me that's a real plus. You can preview your pages in a Web browser, create tables, forms, select from a variety of fonts, and if that's not enough the program has FTP. For a free product, this program has an impressive array of features. It makes it easy to create really impressive Web pages and create them right. So, if you've been looking for an HTML editor, you have to take a look at Alleycode HTML Editor! Very nicely done.

UltraEdit-32, by IDM Computer Solutions, Inc. is a full-featured editor that's loaded with options. And I do mean loaded! For one it comes with an excellent spell checker and includes support for foreign languages, including German, Dutch, French, Italian, Swedish, Finnish and more. This editor has been around for years and it's got lots of options for you to pick from. In fact, it has so many slick features that it would be impossible for me to tell you about all of them, or even come close. It's one of those programs that can be simple if you need simple, and if you need it to do something outstanding, it can be outstanding too, because it's all in there.

UltraEdit can handle multiple files at once as well as very large files. It features syntax highlighting and comes already configured for Java, HTML, C++ and others. A really cool feature is that it has a built-in FTP client so you can edit files and then upload them to your FTP site. Other features include column editing, keyboard configuration and HEX editing. The HEX support shows you both the binary and the ASCII view, making it easier to edit. The program is a winner of the Shareware Industry Award and numerous other awards. It has an intuitive interface and is easy-to-use with lots of configurable options. So, if you're looking for a text and HTML editor that can pretty much do it all, take a good look at UltraEdit. Very nicely done.

WebTunnel, by Primedius Corp. , is a program that helps you to blend into the background when you surf the Internet. First off it stops those annoying popups and also clobbers banner ads. You can also use the program to clear out your surfing history and clear out those temporary Internet files that seem to stay around until you delete them. The program will remove address entries, cookies and lots more. And for those who really don't want anyone following their tracks, WebTunnel has a ZeroHistory Trace Cleaner that actually overwrites all the history information that was deleted so that it can't possibly be recovered. This is serious protection.

WebTunnel can actually encrypt your online communications and masks your IP address. The program claims that your IP cannot be detected and that your movements cannot be followed and that's guaranteed. WebTunnel can also give you newsgroup access that is anonymous and encrypted. You can surf anonymously using any of the most popular Web browsers including Firefox, Internet Explorer and Netscape. This program is really serious about security. It blocks referrals from one Web site to another and this is a common way of tracking movements on the Web. And if all this weren't enough, WebTunnel can also provide you with anonymous chat and has support for AIM, MSN, Yahoo and others. It can also be used with Internet Relay Chat (IRC). Cool.

WebTunnel is a serious program for protecting your information when you're on the Internet. It provides for secure chatting, secure surfing, stops popups and banner ads, cleans your Internet tracks and cache, and much more. So, if you really want to navigate the Web without detection, this might be a program you want to try! Check it out.

Bookmark Buddy - 3.5.0 is an excellent program for managing all of your Internet Favorites. You can also use it to manage all of your passwords, which is a neat feature to have. Over the last few years I've looked at quite a few bookmark programs and this is one of the very best I've seen. To begin with it's easy-to-use and I think that's important. At the same time, it has an intuitive user interface. So, the program is perfect for users with all levels of computer experience. I like the approach it takes ... it seems very logical to me. You can have your bookmarks in categories and then create subcategories as well. If your bookmarks are getting out-of-hand, take a look at Bookmark Buddy and I'll get to a full review soon.

Dr. File Finder Quick PickpdfMachine - 10.8 is a slick program that transfers text being sent to a printer into a PDF file. So, in essence, you are "printing" the original file to a PDF file. The benefit of this program is that you can edit the file, add text, move things around and so on. You can password protect your documents so they're secure. This program has a wide range of features that let you do a lot of cool things with files that you're making into PDFs. So, if you've been looking for an ideal program for creating full-featured PDF files, this may be it. Check it out for yourself.

That's it for today! As always, I hope you enjoyed reading about these Picks as much as I enjoyed writing about them. All of them are great products and well worth your time. And I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We all have so much to be thankful for. Until next week, be safe, have a great weekend and happy downloading.
